BAT brings together a diverse group of people to share a common experience to build community and sustainable economic growth.

BAT Theatre’s Mission

BAT Theatre is committed to being a leader in entertainment by producing intriguing professional shows with the highest artistic integrity that excites, engages, and involves both the local and expanding artistic communities in the Puget Sound Region.

Our History

Beginning in 1955 we began presenting community-based theater in what is now the City of Burien. Our shows have made people laugh, cry, think, and dream. In 1980, we decided to continue our goal of entertaining and educating by incorporating under the name Burien Little Theatre. Then in 2013, we decided to change our name to today's Burien Actors Theatre.  In 2020 Mayor Matta, Council members Marx, Moore, and Argon voted to close the Annex, BAT's home of 40 years leaving BAT without a permanent home. Please join us as we feature shows guaranteed to captivate and put a smile on your face!
