Know Before You Go

Come as you are! Many of our guests dress up to come to the theater, but we invite you to dress as you feel comfortable.

Remember, use of cameras, cell phones, and recording devices is not permitted in the Theatre.  However, you can see images from our performances on BAT's Flickr page.

Talking during the production is distracting to the performers and other patrons. Please, refrain from commenting while the performance is underway.  We welcome your comments before and after the show.

Unless the show is under 90 minutes, there will probably be an intermission. If you can wait to get out of your seat until then, our actors and your fellow audience members would greatly appreciate it!

Latecomers to the performance will be seated at the House Manager’s discretion. This means, that if you are late, you may have to wait in concessions until there is a suitable break in the performance which allows an usher to show you to your seat.

For our patrons with mobility challenges, we offer front-row seats and handicap-accessible bathrooms. If you or your companion has a mobility need, let our box office know when you purchase your tickets. Please arrive early enough for the show so that we can get you comfortably seated before the show begins.

We do not currently offer hearing assistance devices. Neither our budget nor our sound system supports them.  If you would like to make a donation to help upgrade our sound system please direct your donation here.

We offer a well-stocked concession lounge with coffee, tea, soft drinks, water, various treats, and two custom cocktails for each show in addition to beer and wine.

Are BAT's performances suitable for children?

Sometimes. Many of our shows are just fine for children. But, sometimes we offer adult oriented fare as well. Not all drama is suitable for the very young, and that is how it should be. If you have concerns, please, check in advance of your ticket purchase. When possible, BAT will have a copy of the script in BALL (Burien Actors Lending Library), feel free to check out the scriot and read it for yourself and decide if the show is suitable for your child.

Can I take pictures during the performance?

No. Most plays have copyright rules that preclude photographs or videos by patrons.  BAT offers a photo gallery, please feel free to use those photos.

Is your theater wheelchair accessible?

Yes!  Please, let us know of your assistance needs when you purchase tickets so we may be prepared to help you.
