Before the 2012-13 season gets too far along, BLT wants to thank its many volunteers and donors from BLT’s 2011-12 season. Without these two groups of people (and those who overlap) BLT would simply cease to exist. Volunteers and donors are the heart and sole of Burien Little Theatre. Without volunteers there is no way BLT could get a show off the ground. For some shows there are over 200 people who give of their time without hesitation.
If you have ever thought of volunteering now is the time. The beginning of new season, a chance to get in on the ground floor. It is never more fun than when BLT is working on 4 or 5 plays at one time!
BLT’s donors; what can I say? Without you BLT would quickly grind to a halt. Ticket sales cannot come anywhere near covering BLT’s costs. BLT has tired very hard not to raise its ticket prices for the last 5 years, but BLT’s cost and rent keep going up and up. It is only because of the kindness of BLT’s donors that BLT has kept its doors open. Based on the generosity of BLT’s donors, and believing the donations will continue, BLT is not going to raise its ticket prices this year. That is faith in our donors. There is nothing I can say to each and every donor other than, “Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
BLT is starting its new list of volunteers and donors for the 2012-13 season. Don’t wait, get your name on those lists! Help BLT, you will find you are actually helping yourself.
