BAT is getting ready to start selecting scripts for its 2017-18 season. This is a time to 
reflect.
Does BAT have a niche? Selling your niche is all the rage. No one is a generalist any more. At least that is what BAT is told by marketing gurus.
BAT does not do mostly kids shows. BAT does not do mostly the old classics. BAT does not do mostly musicals. BAT does not do mostly new works.
BAT does not have a niche, unless better live theater is a niche.
Each of BAT’s seasons are loosely held together with a theme. The operative word here is loosely.
